​Hometown HolidDazzle Illuminated Parade & Festival

Hometown Holiday Horse Parade, November 17

Watch in awe as beautiful horse-drawn carriages decked out in shimmering lights, jingle through Historic Downtown Greenville at the Hometown Holiday Horse Parade! Stay a while to shop, sip and play as many downtown stores and restaurants remain open late and enjoy the jolly melodies of carolers and bell choirs as they prepare for Santa’s visit!

Hometown HoliDazzle Illuminated Parade & Festival, November 24

Pump the breaks and prepare to be dazzled as Downtown Wilmington closes its streets for the annual Hometown HoliDazzle Illuminated Parade. Find everything from lighted tractors, horses and semi-trucks to Christmas trees, giant turkeys, electric scooters, and marching bands – all in just ONE fantastic display! Be sure to return on Shop Small Saturday for coupons and discounts happening at many local businesses.

Festival of Trees, November 30

Get ready to bid at Zanesville’s annual Festival of Trees where nearly 200 of the most beautifully decorated and state-of-the-art Christmas trees are up for auction. Feast your eyes on a variety of ornately decorated trees and holiday décor on display all day long – and find the perfect holiday trimmings to showcase at your home this holiday season.

Logan Santa Parade, December 1

What do floats, marching bands and horses all have in common? All together they make for the most festive holiday celebration at the Logan Santa Parade! A true holiday parade isn’t complete without a bow from Santa, who concludes the show. Your little ones can visit with Mr. Claus afterwards in Worthington Park and don’t miss the Holiday Treasure Hunt – guaranteed to deliver unique tokens and collectibles for everyone on your list!

Christmas Candlelighting in Roscoe Village, December 1 & 8

Join in the celebration at Roscoe Village as they celebrate start of the season with their Christmas Candlelighting! Held on the Village’s Main Stage, watch the 30-foot Christmas tree as it’s beautifully illuminated! Go back in time and tag along on the “Roscoe Christmas Lantern Tour,” where you will learn how Christmas was celebrated in the 1800s and hear tales of timeless holiday traditions.

Hayes Train Special, November 23-January 6

A holiday staple at the Hayes Presidential Library and Museums, this display of model trains winding through a winter wonderland transports visitors to the days of President Rutherford B. Hayes. Blow the train whistle, operate the Ferris wheel and more through a variety of interactive buttons. A favorite for years, the Hayes Train Special attracts families from near and far. Reindog & Elf Parade, November 24

Catch dozens of dogs in their best reindeer and elf attire as they waltz down Main Street in Downtown Celina, leading up to the guest of the hour – Santa Claus. Enjoy a pancake breakfast, music, and plenty of bright holiday decorations. Stick around the Reindog & Elf Parade long enough for your chance to speak to Santa himself!

Santa Hustle 5K and Half Marathon, December 9

Love Christmas? Love running? The Santa Hustle 5K and Half Marathon is for you! Register with your family and friends for this unique, Santa-themed 5K and half marathon. Listen to holiday music, snack on your favorite cookies and candy, and celebrate at the fun after-party. Be sure to come dressed in your best Santa attire!

Celebrate excitement and joy this holiday season during Christmas in Zoar. Seasonal tunes, a craft show, and tours of the village are just a few of the fun activities planned! You can even take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage or attend a candlelight church service at the Historic Zoar Meeting House.

Polar Express Train Excursion, December 7-9 & 14-16

Hop aboard the Polar Express in Dennison as it heads toward the North Pole! Dress in your comfiest pajamas and follow along as storytellers read this classic tale aloud. The Christmas spirit increases as you head north, and all will enjoy songs, games, and activities while sipping on hot chocolate and snacking on treats. But that’s not all – you’ll see Santa in his workshop, and each child will receive their own special jingle bell.
