About Bunker Hill Universalist Pioneer Cemetery
Bunker Hill Universalist Pioneer Cemetery is part of Indian Creek MetroPark. This 1 acre cemetery is the burial place for veterans from the Revolutionary War, War of 1812 and The Civil War. This 135-acre scenic natural area has been described as one of Ohio’s finest small parks. About one mile of Indian Creek flows through the park, between heavily wooded hillsides and bluffs with rock outcroppings, separating the property into distinct areas accessed by two different entrances. The park’s varied landscape is covered by 26 species of native trees and a wide variety of wildflowers in season, while offering opportunities for fossil hunting and other nature study activities. The Indian Mound Trail leads visitors to a reconstructed Native American earthwork. Picnic sites may be found throughout the grounds.
