Good Old Fashioned Fun at Memphis Kiddie Park

My husband and I recently discovered some good old-fashioned fun for our kids in the Cleveland suburb of Brooklyn at the Memphis Kiddie Park.

Memphis Kiddie Park

The park has been in operation since 1952 and offers 11 rides including the Little Dipper, which is the oldest operating steel coaster in North America.

The rides harken back to an older era with pony carts, hand carts, comets, boats, a merry-go-round, a miniature train that circles the park, and more.

Memphis Kiddie Park is a nice size and wasn’t overly crowded so we were able to enjoy ourselves without having to battle the crowds. The kids enjoyed going from ride to ride without having to wait in line.

The Park is quite affordable as there is no entrance fee and parking is free. Ride tickets are priced at $1 if you buy a book, and each ride takes only one ticket. On top of that, the tickets never expire! The park caters to children 50 inches and under so it’s a fun place to visit without spending your entire paycheck or worrying about your little ones being run over by teenagers.

Memphis Kiddie Park also offers an arcade, miniature golf and a concession stand that sells hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn and other amusement park favorites.

Our five-year-old daughter and four-year-old son had so much fun we’ll be going back again soon.

If you’re traveling to the area with little ones, Memphis Kiddie Park is a stop you must make. It’s a place full of nostalgia and the smiles, laughter, and memories are sure to last a lifetime.
