November Message from Mary
It’s hard to believe that it’s already November and the year is coming to a close. As you make plans to celebrate the season with family and friends, we’re excited to offer what we hope will be your go-to guide. Ohio.org/holidays has everything you need to make this holiday season perfect for you and yours. Many of us host out-of-towners throughout the season and we rack our brains to find activities to entertain – a visit to our holidays page is sure to provide relief and plenty of inspiration. From winter hikes to light displays to wine tastings – we’ve got you covered. Our holidays page is also chock-full of unique places to do your holiday shopping where you can find one-of-a-kind gifts made by Ohio artisans.
We have been making final edits to our “Plan to Win,” TourismOhio’s 2015-2018 Strategic Plan, and expect to present it at the TourismOhio Advisory Board meeting on December 15. As we make changes to the plan each year, we appreciate the input we receive from our industry partners on how we can best support the business and experience of tourism in Ohio. Stay tuned for a special edition BuckeyeLine next month featuring the updated plan.
As you gear up for next year, we encourage you to participate in our 2017 co-op! Join more than one hundred industry partners from across the state who are currently enjoying the benefits of the co-op which features a variety of advertising opportunities and a wide range of budgets to benefit organizations of all sizes. The advertising opportunities have been vetted by our media partner experts at Marcus Thomas and deliver upon our target segments. By pooling our collective resources to leverage the buy, we’re able to amplify the voice of Ohio as we go to market together. For every dollar you invest in the co-op, TourismOhio will match dollar-for-dollar up to $25,000! Advertising selections for the Destination Builder Plus program (dollar-for-dollar match) must be completed by Wednesday, November 30.
Don’t forget to share your adventures this season on social media using #HolidaysinOhio.
Thanks for all you do to deliver on the visitor experience – and hoping you allow yourself time to spend with those who mean the most to you.
For the Good of Ohio,
Mary L. Cusick
