Starting in the 1970s Clifford and Helen Jinks, original owners of the land in Thornville, Ohio where Legend Valley sits, hosted small musical gatherings for family and friends. As the 70s ended, the two signed a lease with George Biddle and Gary Kutch, who helped bring in more high-profile performers. And it worked – by the 1980s, the valley’s headliners included Journey and Jon Bon Jovi. Today, the historic venue and campground continues to host several musical, athletic, and other entertaining festivals and events. This summer’s “Country Jam and Campout” will feature Sam Hunt, Maren Morris, and Dan + Shay.
