Castle Noel, Open Year-Round

Penned “America’s Largest Year-Round Indoor Christmas Entertainment Attraction,” Castle Noel in Medina is teeming with excitement and spirit of the holiday season. Housing the world’s largest private collection of Hollywood Christmas movie props, costumes, and more – you’re sure to feel as if you’re on a Christmas movie set. Scope out treasures from dozens of Christmas movies, including The GrinchElf, and The Santa Clause.

A Christmas Story House, Open Year-Round

Relive scenes from this treasured movie as you tour the home from the “You’ll shoot your eye out!” classic, A Christmas Story. Located in Cleveland, the A Christmas Story House has become a cherished holiday tradition. You, too, can decode a secret message in the upstairs bathroom, or see if you can climb under the sink just like little brother Randy. After visiting the house, be sure to swing by the museum located right across the street where you’ll find more movie memorabilia – and the opportunity to buy your very own leg lamp.

Christmas Cookie Tour of Inns, December 8-9

There are few better ways to celebrate this time of year than by indulging on your favorite Christmas cookies and treats. This season, visit twelve beautiful inns of Amish Country at the 11th Annual Christmas Cookie Tour of Inns, each featuring their own specialty cookies. Not only can you snack on delicious, homemade delicacies, but all proceeds from the event will be donated to charity. Satisfy your sweet tooth, enjoy seasonal music and take in beautiful, festive décor at each unique stop on the tour!

WinterFest at King’s Island, November 23-December 31

Each year, nostalgia and magic of the holiday season bring loved ones together and memories that will last for years to come. Participate in an unforgettable experience at WinterFest at King’s Island, where the park transforms into ten alluring and dazzling winter wonderlands. Ice skate on the Royal Fountain, sample holiday treats, enjoy live shows and rides, and watch your loved ones’ faces light up in wonder and amazement as they look up at the Eiffel Tower transformed into an ornately decorated 314-foot tall Christmas tree.

Steubenville Nutcracker Village & Advent Market, November 20-January 5

Walk through a real-life Winter Wonderland at  Steubenville Nutcracker Village! Offering 170 life-size Nutcrackers, each has been hand-painted and specially designed for the season. Meet traditional characters ranging from the Nutcracker Ballet and the Wizard of Oz to Scrooge and Sherlock Holmes.  You’ll find even more fun at the Advent Market teeming with homemade gifts, entertainment, and food. Don’t leave without stopping by The Christmas Wonderland, where you can write letters to Santa and browse more holiday goods at the gift shop!

Dickens of a Christmas at Ohio Village, December 8-9, 15-16

Watch as Charles Dickens’ beloved Christmas tale comes to life at Ohio Village’s Dickens of a Christmas. Listen and sing along with your favorite Christmas carols, take in beautiful décor, and participate in crafting and cookie demonstrations – all inspired by Dickens’ classic stories. Browsing through P. Wylie’s Emporium for the perfect gift is also a must!

Holiday Lantern Tours at Sauder Village, November 24, December 1, 7-8

Step back in time as you learn about American Christmas traditions through the years at “Yuletides of Yesteryear,” Sauder Village’s Holiday Lantern Tours. Your journey begins on the holiday trolley at the Wilmer-Roth home (circa 1850), and along the way you’ll learn how to prepare a holiday meal and the evolution of holiday decorations and gift giving. The last stop at the Grime House will amaze you with 1920s holiday décor and tree and cookie decorating. Conclude your experience at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church by singing classic Christmas carols!

Christmas in Zoar, December 1-2

Celebrate excitement and joy this holiday season during Christmas in Zoar. Seasonal tunes, a craft show, and tours of the village are just a few of the fun activities planned! You can even take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage or attend a candlelight church service at the Historic Zoar Meeting House.

Christmas Candlelighting in Roscoe Village, December 1 & 8

Come to Roscoe Village as they celebrate start of the season with their Christmas Candlelighting! Held at the Village’s Main Stage, watch the 30’ Christmas tree become beautifully illuminated! Try something new and tag along on the “Roscoe Christmas Lantern Tour,” where you can learn how Christmas was celebrated in the 1800s and hear tales of holiday traditions.

Lebanon Horse-Drawn Carriage Parade, December 1

Join Lebanon for an afternoon or evening horse-drawn carriage parade! Each year, this free event spreads holiday cheer through much more than carriage rides. Shop in downtown Historic Lebanon, listen to Christmas carolers, visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and take a train ride to the North Pole on the North Pole Express all at this fun, family-friendly parade and festival.
