About Cedar Creeks Preserve

A mix of wet woods and grasslands, this 42-acre preserve features hiking trails allowing visitors to see a remnant Black Swamp woods, playground and picnic area. Spring wildflowers are a seasonal feature. The park also offers an open rental shelter; perfect for family reunions and other functions. The preserve is open from 8:00 am — sunset everyday.This is a popular park for trail running and nature hikes. A stroll through the native plant gardens in spring through autumn is filled with colorful blooms and pollinators. The native plant program is a focus of the Wood County Park District's award-winning conservation efforts. Shelter Rental Information:Only one reservation is allowed per day, The cost to reserve the open-air shelter is $25 for the day, Site limit is 108 people, the $25 fee allows for the electricity to be used. With the shelter rental information, there are twelve picnic tables under the shelter which can be moved out, but need to be moved back in at the end of the event.
