The Delaware County Historical Society is located in the 1811 Forest Meeker homestead which is one of the oldest existing homesteads in Delaware County. Meeker ran a busy grist mill near his homestead on the banks of the Olentangy River. Meeker served in the War of 1812 and also supplied William Henry Harrison’s army with flour. The Historical society also operates the Cryder Historical Research Library, Nash House Museum, Meeker House Museum, and The Barn at Stratford, a historic venue that is available for meetings, weddings and other special events.
