About Taft Reserve – Licking Park District

Welcome to your 1600 acre backyard!Taft Reserve is a 425 acre reserve southeast of Newark which provides over 9 miles of multi-use trails open to hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. There is beautiful scenery through woodlands and meadows. The Taft North entrance is 10250 Flint Ridge Road and the Taft South entrance is at 10383 Fairview Rd, Heath 43056The mission of the Licking Park District is: to acquire, manage, preserve, and conserve natural areas within Licking County while protecting wildlife and local history in a manner that enriches our communities and provides access to diverse parks, educational opportunities, and health and wellness activities.The Licking Park District manages over 1,600 acres on thirteen sites across Licking County. We also maintain and co-manage 45 miles of paved multi-use trails. The office of the Licking Park District is located at Infirmary Mound Park.
