Thurber House: Where laughter, learning, and literature meet.We host events with bestselling authors, writing classes, literary picnics on the lawn, and education camps and classes for children preschool through high school. Other programs include the John E. Nance Writer-In-Residence Program, The Thurber House Residency in Children's Literature, and the Thurber Prize for American Humor - the only such recognition of humor writing in the country.Thurber House is located in the restored home of James Thurber and his family and is open to the public every day for tours. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Thurber House is an affiliate of The American Writers Museum.
