About Westerville Visitors & Convention Bureau

Westerville, Ohio was once known as the “Dry Capital of the World," but our Temperance History is only part of our exciting story. Thanks to new laws, new hotels, new technology and plenty for all ages to see and do, Westerville is "Anything But Dry!" Westerville’s small-town feel is genuine. A walk through our Uptown Shopping District is a definite throwback to days-gone-by, with buildings dating back to the 1860s, 1870s and 1880s. Once you step inside, you find modern boutiques, hip eateries and home décor to fit everyone’s style. You’ll even find antiques, a retro shop with LPs and a deli with a microbrewery in the back to keep the memories of the Speakeasy alive. Uptown is home to the 72,000 square foot Westerville Public Library, the Hanby House Museum and The Temperance Row Historic District. Look outside of Uptown and you’ll find 6,000 acres of parkland, including city parks, metro parks and Hoover Reservoir, owned by the City of Columbus, and 44 miles of leisure trails. Otterbein University is just west of Uptown and is a nationally recognized liberal arts university. Its STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) innovation center, The Point, is a stone’s throw from the City of Westerville’s state-of-the-art WeConnect Data Center, making it easy for government, education and private business to collaborate. The Westerville Visitors and Convention Bureau looks forward to helping you plan your next trip to our community!
