About Ashtabula County Covered Bridge Festival

The central festival is held in downtown Jefferson on E. Jefferson St. There are souvenirs, crafts, food vendors, a parade Saturday. musical entertainment both days, antique tractors and engines, a car show, kids activities, contests and more. At our 19 beautiful covered bridges scattered all around the county, there are nonprofit groups like Boy and Girl Scouts, Habitat for Humanity, Relay for Life, Fire Depts, etc set up selling food, baked goods, and crafts to raise money for their organizations and selling our souvenirs. Most of them decorate the bridges for fall. Come out with your families and enjoy the beauty of the fall season and our wonderful covered bridges while supporting many worthwhile causes! Don't forget to stop at the central festival for the shows and entertainment. Tour maps will be available at the central festival at 2 information booths and the souvenir booth in the Fire Hall, and at the bridges. Musical entertainment this year includes Stadium 11 (a classic rock band), the children's choir from Jefferson U. M. Church, Downbeat Percussion (the drumline from the Buffalo Bills) in our parade and strolling after the parade, the Erie Heights Brass Ensemble, The Two Kings (rhythm and blues), and Thunder Creek Band (country). There's a pancake breakfast both days in the Methodist Church, activities at the Library and Historical Society. The Jefferson Depot will have tours of their historic village both days.
