Ohio. Find It Here. 2020 Ohio Travel Guide
The 2020 Ohio Travel Guide is now available! A quick flip through the guide shows what an exciting year this will be for Ohio’s Tourism Industry. This year is the 150th anniversary of Cedar Point in Sandusky. The 100th Anniversary of Professional Football which was created in Canton, home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The 100th Anniversary of women’s suffrage, in which Ohio played a major role. The 20th anniversary of Ohio’s Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Cleveland is hosting the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductions this May. Kings Island in Mason opens this April and will debut a new giga coaster. And so much more for Ohio. Find It Here. The Ohio Travel Guide highlights these major events and anniversaries, and the 2020 Ohio. Find It Here. marketing will focus on them. As we continue our 2020 promotion of 10 Perfect Road Trips, you will see our “Winning Drive” Road Trip updated with a 100th anniversary of Pro Football theme. Cedar Point and The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame are featured on our “Rock, Ride, and Explore” Road Trip. We are adding stops to our History Road Trip that focus on Ohio’s role in women’s suffrage. Several Ohio State Parks and the Cuyahoga National Park are the focus of our seasonally updated “Scenic Route” Road Trip. Nearly 300 destinations across Ohio are featured in our Road Trips. The updated Road Trips campaign will serve us well in 2020 as media and industry have begun talking about “microcations,” and we are seeing an increase in road trips that are a few days in length. Ohio is well positioned for road trips as we are within a day’s drive of 60% of the United States, and most of our visits come from Ohio and the states bordering us. Over 400,000 copies of the Ohio Travel Guide will be distributed through Ohio.org, industry partners, rest areas, Ohio State Park Lodges and consumer shows. Make sure to get yours by calling 1-800-BUCKEYE or ordering online at www.Ohio.org/order-guide. Best regards, Matthew MacLaren Director, TourismOhio
