Spring. Ohio. Find It Here.

I write this as the sun is out, the weather is warming, and the spring season is starting! For Ohio. Find It Here., that means we have updated Ohio.org highlighting spring and summer activities including festivals and events and a new feature on Ohio's nature trails.

Over the past two years, Ohio's 75 free state parks, national park, metro parks, and the hiking, biking, equestrian and water trails in them have become more popular than ever. Our new Ohio.org/NatureTrails page highlights Ohio's incredible outdoor spaces. Through a partnership with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, it connects to their site, providing information and trail locations and includes several new videos highlighting the joy, happiness and excitement that visitors can experience outdoors.

This year also brings an increased focus on Ohio's festivals and events! We are excited by recent announcements about events returning such as the Ohio State Fair. We also know that many of Ohio's festivals and events still need support to return to their pre-pandemic sizes. Therefore, you will see throughout our 2022 marketing a focus on the "big moments" that can be experienced in our great state at the many music, food, sport and celebration festivals and events across Ohio including the Toledo Jeep Fest, BLINK Cincinnati, Red, White & BOOM! in Columbus, the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival in Marietta, the Pro Football Hall of Fame inductions in Canton, and many, many more.

We are also excited about our big event, Ohio Tourism Day, on Wednesday, May 11, on the Statehouse lawn. The lawn will be bustling with nearly 100 booth exhibitors celebrating Ohio's tourism industry and encouraging Ohioans to plan their Ohio trip.
