Celebrate International Museum Day the virtual way!

Museum Day is May 18th. And while you may not be able to visit a museum in person, multiple museums across Ohio have released online and virtual tours. So explore, all while in the comfort of your own home!

American Sign Museum

Enjoy the in-depth virtual tours and 3D tours of the American Sign Museum. If you wander upon an interesting sign, you can learn all about the history of it here. For even more, check out their weekly video series: TOD TALKS. In each video, founder Tod Swormsted tells the stories behind the signs.

McKinley Museum and Presidential Library

Head to the Mckinley Museum and Presidential Library website to learn about presidential history, pioneer life, astronomy and the animals in the McKinley Museum’s Discovery World.

Cleveland Museum of Art

The Cleveland Museum of Art has multiple links on their website explore, learn and create while at home. Or try your hand with their “CMA Sketch” challenge. Each week there’s a prompt based on a piece from the museum’s collection, and you’re challenged to sketch something (see past sketches and share yours by posting on social with #CMASketch). Or check out their upcoming digital event, MIX: Bloom, a free digital dance party on June 5th.

Canton Museum of Art

Virtually explore the Canton Museum of Art’s various exhibits, from “Everyday People” to “In the Parisian Salon.”

Pro Football Hall of Fame

You can see some collections from the Pro Football Hall of Fame, like the Shell artifact collection online. They also have several events each day leading up to Museum Day. Rock & Hall Hall of Fame

Get a sneak peek at the Rock Hall‘s exhibits online, while also listening to playlists on their official Spotify channel.
