Rooftop Bars To Try in the Three C’s

Top of The Park at The Phelps

There’s not much better than enjoying a summer cocktail on a rooftop patio and Ohio has some new spots that are guaranteed to put the perfect punctuation everyone’s favorite season.

Here are some of our favorite rooftop bars to check out in the 3 C’s this summer:

Lincoln Social

Escape to the intergalactic urban oasis that is Lincoln Social in Downtown Columbus. Another amazing Cameron Mitchell concept, this rooftop lounge sits nine stories up and provides equal parts of affluence and ambiance paired with perhaps the best views in the city. Be sure to snap a photo in front of its iconic neon sign and order a Kiss from a Rose from their cocktail menu – Moet Chandon Rose, lemon + pomegranate.

Sprinkle some Scotland on your weekend at BrewDog Franklinton. This low-key locale is anything but ordinary with its spectacular views of Downtown Columbus and its unrivaled, Scottish-inspired suds. With an original location in Canal Winchester and large distribution, Ohio is no stranger to their beer, but the Franklinton rooftop certainly brings an elevated experience to Columbus.

Also try: VASO Rooftop Lounge, Juniper, Antiques on High

Azure Rooftop Lounge

Switch to island time on top of the Metropolitan at the Nine at Azure Rooftop Lounge in Cleveland. This Polynesian-inspired patio serves up seasonal cocktails and small plates while overlooking the iconic skyline. With appetizers like savory ahi tostadas and coconut shrimp and several frozen cocktails, you’ll be dying to come back and enjoy these exclusive views time and time again.

Punch Bowl Social

For your next elevated adventure, head to Punch Bowl Social at The Flats. Overlooking the Cuyahoga River, Punch Bowl Social is the perfect place to catch a gorgeous lakeside sunset. Try one of their signature punches, It’s A Mer-Man’s World, made with bourbon, pineapple papaya tea, Bacardi, and fresh lime juice. If the weather doesn’t agree with your outdoor plans, no worries! Enjoy the full-sized mini-golf course downstairs!

Also try: Velvet Dog

Top of the Park at The Phelps

Resting atop the historic Residence Inn in Downtown Cincinnati lies Top of the Park, voted the best rooftop bar in the city. Named for its location overlooking Lytle Park, you can enjoy tapas and handcrafted cocktails as you watch the sun go down at the end of your evening. Come back for live music on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays!

The View at Shires Garden

This downtown gem sits ten stories high and has been all the rage since it opened earlier this summer. The View at Shires Garden features riverfront views, a cigar bar and several crowd-pleasing fares to satisfy you and your crew. On weekends, enjoy a tasty brunch with items like the Queen City Breakfast Sandwich and the Riverside Hot Brown. Please note, to sit on the patio, you must order food!

If you pair a rooftop bar with a seasonal cocktail, you’re bound to find happiness, joy and excitement here in Ohio. Get out there and soak up what’s left of summer!
