Tailgating in the Buckeye State
By Mary Kleffner

Columbus, Ohio – home to “THE” Ohio State University. With one of the nation’s most premier college football programs, you’re sure to catch OSU fans cheering on the Buckeyes in their best scarlet and gray attire each and every game day!

From riverside views to cozy, hometown favorites – find the best places to tailgate in the city and cheer on your favorite team with fellow buckeye fans from near and far.

The O’Zone

Held in the Riverwatch Tower parking lot, this popular tailgating hub near campus is right across the street from French Field House and the Schottenstein Center. With weekly live music, prizes and Ohio State Football – gameday doesn’t get much better than this. Touchdown, you!

Little Bar

Join Little Bar for Tiny Gate, the “Best Tailgate in Town,” every game day. Sip on drink specials, enjoy a burger and fries, and catch the Buckeyes on the big projector. All this food, fun and fantastic football calls for an OSU victory dance!

Varsity Club

Located just 500 feet away from the stadium, you’ll feel like you’re right inside “The Shoe” as you catch the game on one of 15 different TVs throughout the bar, outdoor patio, and jumbo-tron at this hometown favorite. Continue the celebration by snacking on a variety of specials and favorites, including wings, burgers, and pizza.

Land Grant Beer Garden

Two worlds collide here at Land Grant – Beer and Buckeye Football. Get nice and comfy in their scenic beer garden, and don’t miss kickoff on their new outdoor screen.  The experience gets even sweeter – sample Ray Ray’s Barbecue – a local food truck on site, where you’ll find smoked ribs, brisket and chicken.

Ohio Stadium – Buckeye Park

You can’t get much closer to the action than this — feel the roars and vibrations of 100,000 fans as you celebrate gameday in Coffey Road Park, just steps away from Ohio Stadium. Home of the official tailgating service of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Buckeye Park allows you to customize your own tailgate package, including everything from the set-up and catering options, while you just sit back enjoy the game. All festivities and no set-up or tear down? Sounds like a winning combination!

Looking to do more than tailgate this season? They don’t call it “Buckeye Nation” for nothing – there’s truly something every fan can celebrate. Find the perfect pregame campus-area treats like donuts, brunch, and pizza, or spend the weekend on a getaway and explore all the things there are to do in the capital city.
