What To Wear

No Pajama Party is complete without the perfect pair of pajamas. For your Ohio-themed PJ Party, wear your favorite Ohio sports team jammies or show your Ohio pride with Ohio apparel and loungewear, like from Homage or Atypical Apparel. Or try out some comfy clothes like this selection from The Gemma Shop in Westerville.

Who To Invite

Pajama Day is fun for the entire family! Since we are practicing social distancing, invite friends and family members who do not live with you to celebrate the Ohio-themed Pajama Party via video chat. Free video conferencing tools like FaceTime, Google Hangouts, Skype or Zoom keep you connected with loved ones and are great for a virtual party.

What to Do

Today’s Pajama Party is all about being comfortable at home and celebrating Ohio. Grab a cozy blanket and snuggle on the couch, build a pillow fort or lounge in bed all day to enjoy these Ohio themed activities.

Stream a movie or television show filmed or set in Ohio. While viewing movies like Shawshank Redemption, The Avengers and A Christmas Story or watching television shows like The Drew Carey Show, Family Ties or Hot in Cleveland, spot the Ohio scenes that look familiar.

Take a virtual tour of Ohio’s museums, zoos and outdoor attractions. Explore arts and cultural exhibits at the Cleveland Museum of Art, Cincinnati Art Museum and the Ohio History Connection. Learn about all creatures great and small with home safaris from the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden and the Greater Cleveland Aquarium.  Experience the thrill of a roller coaster at Cedar Point, zipline through Hocking Hills and visit other Ohio attractions virtually.

Burn some calories with a Pajama Dance Party. Whether you prefer jazz, rock or country music, bust a move to Ohio-born musicians and bands formed in Ohio like Art Tatum, Dean Martin, Dave Grohl, John Legend, Kid Cudi, Nine Inch Nails, OAR, Rascal Flatts and Tracy Chapman.

Other fun things to do include read a book by an Ohio author, create an Ohio trivia game or put together an Ohio landscape puzzle.

What To Eat & Drink

Celebrate the flavors of Ohio by serving Ohio made products. Cheeses from Heini’s or Guggisberg, potato chips from Grippo’s, popcorn from Humphrey’s, sweet treats like Dum Dums Pops from Spangler Candy Company and ice cream from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams or Graeter’s. All of these products and many more Ohio made foods can be ordered online and shipped directly to your home. Create your own version of Cincinnati chili, make homemade candy buckeyes or support your favorite local Ohio restaurants and order carryout.

Toast to Pajama Day while sipping on your favorite Ohio adult beverage, whether it be an Ohio wine, craft beer or a signature cocktail created with an Ohio spirit. We’re all in this together Ohio, cheers!
