While the weather is warm and the sun is still shining, grab your skateboard, scooter or roller skates and head to one of these skate parks throughout Ohio. These parks are open to both experts and beginners with various obstacles for every level. Just don’t forget your helmet!

Dodge Skate Park in Columbus

Located in Franklinton, Dodge Skate Park was designed by Tony Hawk’s dad. This park includes quarter pikes, three drop-in bowls of different sizes, a snake fun, and one of the bowls can function as a half-pipe. Bikes, blades and boards are all welcome here.

Fuel up at one of the restaurants in walking distance from the park, like Brewdog Franklinton, One Line Coffee, Land-Grant Brewing Company and Strongwater Food & Spirits.

Kennedy Skate Park is a mixed media park, with wood, metal and concrete elements all coming together. Most of the edges in the park are rolled steel, and they have a large fun box with rail and ledges, a pyramid with a ledge, ramps, banks and quarter-pipe and a grind box.

For lunch, there's an abundance of Chinese restaurants around the park, from Happy Dragon, Happy Star and Jade’s Chinese Restaurant. For some delicious meat and barbeque, head to The Hickory House. If you want something quick like pizza, there are a bunch of chains including Papa Johns and Little Caeser’s, but if you want something a little more elevated, Vick’s Gourmet Pizza is a must.
