Take a Day Trip to Ohio City

By Laurel Wilson

Posted On: Jul 1, 2022

Ohio City is a neighborhood in Cleveland across the Cuyahoga River from Downtown. It has been on the upward swing for years and continues to grow! New luxury apartments, restaurants, bars, and coffee shops are popping up around the neighborhood seemingly every day. It's hard to keep up with all of the new businesses in the area.

Below is a one-day Ohio City itinerary that'll help you taste and see all that Ohio City has to offer a day-tripper! And to get started, here are a few tips that'll help you during your day in Ohio City:

  • The ideal days to do this one-day Ohio City itinerary are Thursdays-Saturdays, as many places are closed at the beginning of the week.
  • Bring some quarters! You can usually find free street parking close by. But just in case you can't, make sure you have some quarters on-hand to feed the meters.
  • Wear comfortable shoes because Ohio City is very walkable and that's the best way to see the area!

Juneberry Table is a new brunch restaurant serving up all-day-breakfast dishes and delicious cocktails. The design, color palette, and the light pouring through the windows creates a dreamy space for a date or catching up with friends.

Order a Bloody Mary and something off the ever-growing list of amazing, locally sourced, menu items that'll leave you wanting more. Juneberry Table is a smaller space and tends to have a wait on weekends (reservations are currently unavailable), but put your name in and go next door to explore one of the adorable antique shops until your table is ready. Juneberry is very much worth the wait!

It's such a memorable activity to do with friends or family and a great way to support a local business. And if you don't have the time to make your own candle, you can also buy pre-made candles as well.
