Bike trails are great ways to explore Ohio and marvel at its beauty while getting some fresh air. Ohio offers plenty of trails that traverse the state and allow you to wander through the best of the state's biggest and smallest towns. Check out some of these trails, plus a few places to eat and stay after a long day of cycling.

Gallia Hike and Bike Trail
The Gallia Hike & Bike Trail runs through Gallipolis, Bidwell and Kerr. Stop for an Italian feast at Tuscany Italian in Gallipolis. After fueling your body with hearty Italian classics, recharge at the quaint and comfortable Holly Hill Inn in Pomeroy.
Great Ohio Lake to River Greenway
Cruise through Northwest Ohio before settling into Ashtabula for a delicious meal and wonderful stay. Head to Rennick Meat Market for butcher inspired American food, then get back to nature at the cozy, recently remodeled Rustic River Retreats.
Great Miami River Trail
After exploring Dayton, Piqua and Miamisburg on this trail, take some time to get to know the city of Troy. Walk through The Square downtown before dining at The Caroline for some classic American fare. After, stay the night at one of Miami County's many overnight spots.
Hike & Bike Trail
Step out of your comfort zone with the Hike & Bike Trail. Dine at the Rosewood Grill in Hudson, which prides itself for its eclectic but approachable American cuisine. Then, spend the night at the historic Inn and Brandywine Falls. The inn overlooks Brandywine Falls, a 67-foot natural wonder, and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Although recently renovated, the inn still maintains its historic Greek Revival appearance and character.
Get to know the city of Findlay by riding the Heritage Trail. Hikers and bikers on the 20.22-mile trail are able to experience remote natural settings in Hancock County and urban conditions in the heart of Findlay. Continue embracing your urban side by dining at Stix Restaurant and trying their take on modern Asian fare. End your night at the Hancock Hotel, an upscale, full-service hotel in Findlay.
Ohio to Erie Trail
Traverse Ohio and explore some of the biggest cities the state has to offer. Once completed, treat yourself to something sweet from Busken Bakery in Cincinnati and take a load off at the Inn of Hyde Park, a bed and breakfast with simple comforts and historic charm.
Simon Kenton Trail
The Simon Kenton Trail will take you through Urbana, Northridge, Tremont City and Springfield, where you stay and explore the charming city. Grab a bite to eat at Station 1 before settling in at the Simon Kenton Inn.
