Despite the chilly temperatures, outdoor adventure is waiting to be had across the state. For those wanting to get some fresh air this winter, here is a list of outdoor skating-rinks in Ohio!
The Rink at Wade Oval, Cleveland
Surrounded by the Cleveland Botanic Gardens, The Cleveland Museum of Art and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History is an ice-skating rink nestled within Wade Oval. Open until February 15, The Rink at Wade Oval is the perfect place to spend chilly winter afternoons.
NOTE: Masks are required, and the staff will frequently clean and spray all public areas with sanitizer.
Ottawa Park Ice Rink, Toledo
The only open air ice rink in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan, Ottawa Park has a new chiller system that has extended their winter season from mid-December to mid-March, so you can get your skating fix for the better part of the year! The rink is lit, perfect for romantic date nights or late-night hockey.
NOTE: Sessions will last no longer than 1.5 or 2 hours. Limit of 35-40 skaters per session and a limit of 35 spectators outside. Masks must be worn while inside or within 6 feet of another person.
Hall of Fame City Ice Rink, Canton
From November to February, ice skating enthusiasts can find the Hall of Fame City Ice Rink beside the Stark County Courthouse. Admission to skate is $2 and skate rentals are an additional $2.
Crocker Park Ice Skating Rink, Westlake
The Ice-Skating Rink at Crocker Park is open every day until February 28. Lace, bundle and mask up for some winter fun. Tickets cost $8, and it costs an additional $3 for skate rentals.
50 West Brew, Cincinnati
For a unique ice-skating experience, head to 50 West Brew in Cincinnati. After fueling up in the restaurant on delicious warm beverages, craft beer and burgers, walk right outside to the ice skating rink!
Mighty Children’s Museum Ice Skating Rink, Chillicothe
The Mighty Children’s Museum is doling out some mighty fun this winter season. Head to the museum for safe and socially distanced outdoor fun on the ice-skating rink. Warm up inside the museum while exploring exhibits that your children are bound to love.
