Despite the chilly temperatures, outdoor adventure is waiting to be had across the state. For those wanting to get some fresh air this winter, here is a list of outdoor skating-rinks in Ohio!
Mighty Children's Museum Ice Skating Rink in Chillicothe
The Mighty Children's Museum is doling out some mighty fun this winter season. Head to the museum for some outdoor fun on the ice-skating rink (open Nov. 18 - Dec. 31, 2022). Then warm up inside the museum while exploring exhibits that your children are bound to love!
Ottawa Park Ice Rink in Toledo
The only open air ice rink serving northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan is at Ottawa Park. The rink is lit and a perfect place for romantic date nights or late-night hockey. The rink is open from Dec. 21, 2022 thru Jan. 31, 2023.
Bonus: While you're in Toledo, stop by for a sneak peek of the new ice skating trail at Glass City Metropark. From Feb. 4-20, 2023, you'll be able to check out the new attraction before it officially opens for its first regular season next fall. The Ribbon at Glass City is a 1,000-foot-long paved, loop trail that's refrigerated and provides 25,000-square-feet of ice skating fun.
Crocker Park Ice Skating Rink in Westlake
The Ice Skating Rink at Crocker Park is open from Nov. 19, 2022 until Feb. 20, 2023. Lace, bundle, and mitten up for some winter fun. Once you're done, check out a flick at Regal Cinemas (which is just behind the park).
The Rink at Wade Oval in Cleveland
Surrounded by the Cleveland Botanic Gardens, The Cleveland Museum of Art, and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History is an ice-skating rink nestled within Wade Oval. Open from Dec. 2, 2022 thru Feb. 26, 2023, this outdoor rink is the perfect place to spend chilly winter afternoons.
50 West Brew in Cincinnati
For a unique ice-skating experience, head to 50 West Brew in Cincinnati. After fueling up in the restaurant on delicious warm beverages, craft beer and burgers, walk right outside to the ice skating rink! The rink runs from Nov. 12, 2022 thru Feb. 27, 2023.
Riverside Crossing Park Ice Skating Rink in Dublin
The outdoor rink at Riverside Crossing Park offers an amazing view of the Dublin Link Pedestrian Bridge. Admission is $12 and the price includes complimentary skate rental. The rink is open from December to mid-March.
Hall of Fame City Ice Rink in Canton
Ice skating enthusiasts can find the HOF City Ice Rink beside the Stark County Courthouse. The 60x100-foot outdoor ice rink also features a special spot: the HOF City Ice Rink Café!
