Glamp in style in a luxury geodome at the Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls! Located in the Hocking Hills region, the geodomes at the Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls make for the perfect retreat after a day exploring southeastern Ohio's breathtaking landscapes.
You might be asking yourself what's a geodome? A geodesic dome is a spherical structure comprised of a complex network of triangles, which equals fewer building materials without sacrificing a strong structure. The Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls' geodomes feature more than 700 square feet of interior space and at the highest point, 14 feet ceilings.
The property's three luxury geodomes are named after gemstones: Garnet, Moonstone and Peridot. Each geodome is situated on the property to maximize privacy. Private outdoor seating on the attached deck is a bonus spot to watch the local wildlife and to be immersed in nature.
The geodomes have all the comforts of home, including a king-size bed, dining table and chairs for two, a couch, kitchenettes with retro-style appliances (refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, and a place setting for two), custom bathrooms, electricity, air-conditioning, heat, gas fireplace and Wi-Fi. These geodomes were the first in the United States to feature indoor plumbing, HVAC, and electricity, which make guests experience a more comfortable and luxurious stay.
While all the above amenities make for a relaxing stay, my favorite feature is the expansive viewing window overlooking the lush forest. The floor to ceiling window invites guests to marvel at the sights and sounds of nature.
With all the luxuries of a resort, all you need to bring are personal items and your favorite snacks and drinks. We ordered dinner from the on-site restaurant, Kindred Spirits, and dined in our geodome overlooking the trees. Complimentary breakfast at Kindred Spirits is included with your stay.
The luxury geodomes at the Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls can be enjoyed year-round and are the perfect setting for a romantic escape for two, girlfriend getaway or a solo retreat.
