Whether you exclusively frequent the double black diamonds or prefer to stick to the bunny hills - or even if tubing is more your scene - Ohio has a selection of ski and snowboard destinations to help you have fun this season. Start planning your next adventure with these top Ohio ski spots.
Mad River Mountain in Zanesfield
Mad River Mountain, considered Ohio's largest ski resort, offers much more than a place to warm your toes - including dining options and a 180-degree views of the surrounding slopes. If you're a newbie, sign up for a group or private lesson; non-skiers can spend the day enjoying the bubly Tubing Park.
Snow Trails in Mansfield
This Mansfield-area resort was the first commercial ski area in Ohio and has been under the same management since the beginning. Take on one of the trails, like the infamous, the Timberline trail, which boasts the title the "Longest Trail in Ohio." Not an avid skier? Opt for the Vertical Descent Tubing Park with some of the longest descents in the state!
Boston Mills
Boston Mills/Brandywine in Peninsula
These partner resorts in northeast Ohio offer a combined 18 trails for an array of ability levels. With programming exclusively for kids, women, and competitive skiers, these resorts cater to participants of all skill sets. Be sure to check out Polar Blast Tubing, the onsite tubing experience, for a perfect alternative for non-skiers/boarders.
Alpine Valley Resort in Chesterland
Located east of Cleveland, Alpine Valley's 11 trails offer an even mix of beginner, intermediate, and advanced runs. For something else that's unique and fun, sign-up for Dew After Dark. On select nights, you can hit the slopes after the sun has gone down and enjoy an illuminated ride down the slopes.
