A time-honored tradition, Ohio does sledding like nowhere else! With snowy weather on the horizon, now is the perfect time to grab your sled, a toboggan, a tube and your family. This will be a winter to remember!
Sledding Hills
With excellent access and plenty of parking, the designated sledding area at Wright Memorial Park in Dayton offers trails that range from bumpy to perfectly smooth. About 700-800 feet, this 40-degree hill is also situated in perfect proximity to the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Park.
You can also rush down the snow-laden hill at Westlake Recreation Center Park or Fairfield's Harbin Park. Feeling adventurous? Catch the varying heights of three different sledding hills at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park in Galloway.

Snow Tubing Parks
Head to Ohio's ski resorts for a unique downhill experience. The bubly Tubing Park at Mad River Mountain in Zanesfield is a family-friendly destination that's perfect for those seeking an adrenaline rush!
Head to another favorite tubing spot at Ohio's oldest ski resort: Snow Trails in Mansfield. This skiing sport serves area with 1,100 long tubing lanes! The best part? You don't have to carry your tubes back up the hill. Conveyor belts make it easy for even your little ones to go up and down the hills with ease!
Ohio State Parks
Find sledding all over the state, like known favorite Punderson State Park (and Punderson Manor) in Newbury which provides a slight grade lighted sledding hill along with a winter sports chalet. Check out their website for more information on winter fun.
Other Ohio State Parks perfect for sledding are Dillion State Park in Nashport, Lake Loramie State Park in Minster, and Maumee Bay State Park in Oregon. You can also find more outdoor winter activities by visiting ODNR's website.
Toboggan Chutes
With or without snow, The Chalet in Mill Stream Run (part of Cleveland Metroparks) runs through March and offers a perfect experience for thrill-seekers. The twin, 700-foot refrigerated toboggan ice chutes can accommodate a small group or a single person, so challenge your friends to take the plunge!
