Ah, October ... the month when fall begins to make its way through the state and you can relish the prospect of sweaters, gorgeous foliage and all things pumpkin. It's also the one season of the year when you can enjoy getting lost. On purpose.
Which is what makes Ohio's long list of corn mazes – some simple, others elaborate, all of them enjoyable – such a great way to enjoy the season in a unique way. Check out these five mazes, or discover your own. That is, after all, part of the fun.

Maze Craze in New Springfield
The theme of this year's maze is "Snow White." The design includes four mazes for various skill levels – from the 0.6-mile "BLUE maze" designed for kids and their parents to the more challenging, 4.6-mile RED maze. Make a day of it with various outdoor activities, including a playground, kiddie zipline, hayrides and more.
McPeek's Mighty Maze in Coshocton
Located on the Coshocton KOA campground, this year's maze invites guest to uncover Pirate Treasure. This year, the maze is also part of the Fall Festival, which takes place only during two weekends in October. At the festival, your family can enjoy wagon rides, games and the most iconic fall thing - pumpkins!

Now in its 20th season, the family-owned farm offers a healthy dose of family fun to accompany your maze navigation: a petting zoo, corn cannons, hayrides, a ball zone and more.
Wheeler Farms Corn Maze in Whitehouse
This year's maze honors offers a welcome sentiment: "BE KIND!" The farm also features The Butterfly House, a facility containing more than 1,000 butterflies of various species. Not into mazes? Let the rest of your party roam as you warm up at the campfire at no charge.
Maize Valley Corn Maze in Hartville
There's no shortage of wholesome, down-home fun at Maize Valley Winery, whose 8-acre corn maze contains trivia questions that relate to the year's theme. Also on site are pumpkin cannon demonstration, chicken area, push carts, tire pile and more.
