Earlier this year TourismOhio adjusted our marketing strategy, introducing our Support Local Ohio campaign centered around Ohioans supporting local businesses. We have promoted the campaign with an emphasis on safety, encouraging Ohioans to stop the spread of COVID-19 so that the places and businesses we love can remain open.
As part of our ongoing Support Local Ohio campaign, we are pleased to incorporate new and updated Ohio Road Trips that encourage people to experience and patronize Ohio’s local museums, restaurants, lodging and attractions.
This week we launched a Women in History Road Trip in connection with the centennial of the 19th Amendment and Ohio’s strong ties to the women’s suffrage movement. The road trip features eight stops in eight different cities, both urban and rural, such as the Upton House and the Women's Suffrage Museum in Warren and Oberlin College.
This fall, our Support Local Ohio campaign will continue to show safety and incorporate more road trips. The Charming Towns Road Trip showcases eight picture-perfect getaways and a range of activities from kayaking around Kelleys Island to strolling through quaint Granville. The Foodie Fill-Up Road Trip will be updated in accordance with safety guidelines and 2020 food trends. The Scenic Route Road Trip will be highlighted just in time for Ohio’s beautiful fall foliage.
Join us in encouraging Ohioans to safely support local Ohio businesses and destinations in our great state. Find our 10 perfect road trips at Roadtrips.Ohio.org and join #OhioFindItHere on social media with our continued use of #MasksOnOhio and #InThisTogetherOhio.
