Fall has officially arrived and the temperature is starting to drop to that cool, comfortable range, making the weather perfect for picking pumpkins, taking in a fall hike and cheering on your favorite football team. This season offers an amazing opportunity to get out and explore our beautiful state, recharge our batteries and reconnect with nature. As the leaves begin to golden, you can visit Ohio.org/FALL for information on fall activities and events as well as expert advice on locating the best fall-color spots around the state.
With the change in season, many of us are preparing to transition into 2017 – planning budgets and dreaming about all we can do for the good of tourism in Ohio. This in turn allows us to be reflective and consider what worked and what didn’t work over the past year. We also think about the trends that are emerging and what we’ll want to keep our eye on going forward.
We are continuing to focus on our strategic partnerships, including our 2017 co-op. We invite you to join the more than 100 industry partners from across the state who are currently enjoying the benefits of the co-op. The selection period for the 2017 TourismOhio Co-Op Advertising Program is now open. Advertising selections for the Destination Builder Plus program (dollar-for dollar match) must be completed by Wednesday, November 30. Our Strategic Plan remains an area of focus for us as well and you’ll see an updated version of that soon.
Thanks for all you do to deliver on the visitor experience.
For the Good of Ohio,
Mary L. Cusick
