Tent/ RV Full Hookup Campground and Marina located on the beautiful Muskingum River. Known by many as the Elk Eye named by native woodland Indians because of the brown color of the water. The Muskingum drains a fifth of the state of Ohio as the watershed covers most of the land between Akron to Columbis and ends up at Marietta where it empties into the Ohio River. The Muskingum is America's first river to have a series of locks and dams built to raise the pool level for boat traffic and is the last hand-operated river lock system that is still in operation for boat traffic today. Itching to spend some quality time with your family, fishing, sitting around the campfire, and enjoying the great outdoors. What about cooking over the open campfire making soup, or baking veggies in the hot coals, iron pies, making pigs in a blanket, or S'mores? The possibilities are endless. Rivers edge campgrounds is a great place to camp and explore this historical river trail with a marina and canoe rental or BYOB. (Bring Your Own Boat). Docks available. An ideal base camp for exploring the historical locks and dams and small local towns by boat travel.
