The Ohio State University is known for many things, including its exceptional athletic programs and renowned academics. However, the campus area is also home to an abundance of delicious restaurants, ranging in all types of cuisines. Whether you’re a student who's sick of the dining halls, a potential future Buckeye who wants to scope out the campus food scene, or simply just want to try the amazing food that Columbus has to offer, you're covered. Here’s a list of some of the best places to eat at OSU.
HOE Burger from Hang Over Easy
Hangover Easy - A campus favorite by students and locals alike, Hangover Easy is always bound to be crowded. Try some of their signature dishes like the breakfast quesadilla and "The Dirty," the restaurant’s take on a breakfast burrito.
Ethyl & Tank - Located right off high street is the bar/restaurant Ethyl & Tank. The restaurant is always changing their menu to include new and flavorful items, but be sure to try the breakfast buffalo nachos, savory breakfast balls and skillet cinnamon roll.
Elia Athenian Grill - Elia Athenian Grill is the Chipotle of Greek food. Choose your base (options include pita, salad, grain bowl and mixed bowl) and load them up with their toppings and sauces. If you’re new to the restaurant or trust the pros, pick from their pre-fixed options.
Cazuelas Grill - Cazuelas Grill is so popular that the restaurant recently opened their second brick and mortar building on High Street. The restaurant has an extensive menu that offers all the typical Mexican fare.
Moy’s Kitchen - Located in an unassuming storefront on High Street, Moy’s Kitchen offers some of the best Asian food on campus. Owned by a mom and pop from Hong Kong, their mission is to share their love of Chinese food with all who visit OSU. Take one bite from their hot and delicious meals, and you’ll understand why this spot is a campus favorite.
PJ’s Grill - This spot has some of the craziest sandwiches you'll ever see. With sandwiches like the "Fat Caveman," which includes grilled chicken, pepperoni, grilled mushrooms & onions, shredded cheese, mozzarella sticks, marinara sauce and fries, you’ll need to bring an empty stomach before dining here.
Eden Burger - If you’re still craving a burger but of the meatless variety, go to Eden Burger for an abundance of vegetarian burger options. Everything on the menu is 100% plant-based and 100% delicious.
Diaspora - Diaspora is the only Korean restaurant in the campus area, and it doesn't disappoint! The restaurant serves up authentic Korean fare for reasonable prices in the heart of campus.
Nile Vegan - Just mere blocks from Park-Stradley and Smith-Steeb residential halls is Nile Vegan. This Ethiopian restaurant differs greatly from any food you'll find in the dining halls and will satisfy vegans and omnivores alike.
Buckeye Donuts - A campus institution since 1969, Buckeye Donuts is the place to go to satisfy your sweet tooth. If you prefer to start your day here, then pair your breakfast sandwich with one of their famed donuts (like the Buckeye Donut or Cronut).
