Across the Ohio, expert glass artists fashion all sorts of incredible pieces. Many places offer glass-blowing demonstrations or classes in glass-work. We're highlighting just a handful of the studios and museums across Ohio!

Neusole Glass Works in Cincinnati

Neusole offers a variety of ways to engage with glass artists, from public demonstrations to classes to custom work. They also host visiting artists to lead classes and exhibitions.

Ohio Glass Museum & Glass Blowing Studio in Lancaster

At the Ohio Glass Museum in downtown Lancaster, you can learn about the history of practical and artistic glass applications. Visit the galleries to see the rotating exhibitions that feature all eras of glasswork, watch modern day artists at work in the studio, and visit the gift shop for stunning gifts. 

Glass Axis in Columbus

Glass Axis is an artist-driven studio in Columbus' Franklinton neighborhood. Book a class with the expert artists in glassblowing, fusing and torching. Keep an eye on the gallery for exhibitions featuring local and national glass artists, and visit during their popular holiday sales and glass pumpkin shows.

Glass Pavilion at Toledo Museum of Art in Toledo

Nicknamed the Glass City, Toledo has a long history in glass manufacturing and design. The Toledo Museum of Art's early collections in glasswork were given by the Libbey family, owners of Libbey Glass. To complement its extensive glass collections, the museum added a state-of-the-art Glass Pavilion in 2006, where guests can watch artists at work and book their own classes

Akron Glass Works 

Akron Glass Works operates as both a hot glass studio and a gallery. Located in a beautiful old church, the studios house a group of artists who teach classes and display their work in the gift shop. The space is even available for private events!

The Works in Newark

There's plenty to do at The Works in Newark, from hands-on exhibits to historical displays, a planetarium and public art. But no visit is complete without a stop at the glass studio, where Ohio artist Larry Tubor and his team lead public demonstrations and teach classes. 

Hot Shop at Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus

The Conservatory's hot shop is an outdoor pavilion where local artists offer live demonstrations daily from April through early January. It's a must-stop during any stroll through the lush conservatory and gardens. Be sure to visit the gift shop to see work from the artists for sale!

Jack Pine Studio in Laurelville

Artist Jack Pine heads up this glass studio in the Hocking Hills, where he features and sells his work and the work of glass artists from across the country. Stop by to see regular demonstrations and shop for glass pumpkins, ornaments and hummingbird feeders

The Glass Asylum in Chagrin Falls

In charming Chagrin Falls, the Glass Asylum builds a community of glass artists who create their own stunning work and teach classes to the public. In addition to their glass-blowing classes, they also create custom artwork and lighting
