Step back in time with a stay in an adorable vintage camper from Route Fifty Campers. Based in Cincinnati, Route Fifty Campers offers one-of-a-kind travel trailer rental accommodations. With a fleet of four refurbished trailers; a 1958 FAN, 1964 Winnebago, 1969 Aristocrat Lo-Liner and a 1985 Scamp, campers staying in one of these retro trailers will be the star of the campground! Each vintage trailer has been lovingly restored with updated retro décor and modern amenities; electrical hook-up, air-conditioning, indoor lighting, electrical outlets (in case you can’t live without your electronic devices), refrigerator, stove and kitchen sink. Trailers are stocked with the basics- bedding, cutlery, dishes and you’ll just need to bring your camping essentials (toiletries, food, and beverages, etc.).

My husband and I stayed in the charming “Bette,” a 1958 FAN. While she may be the oldest trailer in the fleet, she certainly didn’t look her age…modern design and updated amenities made our overnight stay comfortable and cozy. Debbie, the owner of Route Fifty Campers, delivered and set-up our campsite at East Fork State Park, which made our stay even more relaxing since we didn’t have to worry about setting up camp. We brought a grill to cook dinner, then roasted marshmallows and made s’mores under the stars. It was nice to unplug from our electronic devices and enjoy each other’s company, listen to the birds chirping and the fire crackling and counting the stars. While we are nature enthusiasts, having the comforts of “Bette” as a welcoming retreat and staying in a piece of American history made our camping experience even more enjoyable!  Route Fifty Campers offers delivery, set-up and retrieval of the retro campers, so not having towing capabilities isn’t a problem. If you prefer to drive it yourself and have the proper towing equipment, the trailers can be picked up at their Cincinnati storage facility. Whether renting for an overnight escape, weekend getaway, week-long excursion, additional space at your home for out-of-town guests or for a unique wedding or party venue, a vintage camper from Route Fifty Campers will add a little luxury to your outdoor experience!
